Dr De Villiers and Partners Inc. T/A ImagePro Radiology (Krugersdorp Branch) has a vacancy for a permanent full day Sonographer.

Location: Krugersdorp (Permanent)

Travel: Willingness to travel to Garden City Branch on an ad-hoc basis when assistance is needed.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities (Summarized):

• Gynaecology;
• Advanced Abdomen – Renal doppler, hernias;
• First trimester pregnancies;
• Breast, thyroid, salivary glands, testis / scrotum;
• Neonatal – hips, brain, abdomen, pelvis;
• Musculoskeletal;
• Vascular – peripheral doppler, carotid doppler, arterial as well as venous;
• FNA, Core-biopsy’s, Pigtail insertions, Cyst aspirations, Pleural taps, Ultrasound guidance of CVP and line placements;
• Emergency ultrasounds – e.g. FAST scans
• CPD up to date.
• After hour call.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Accuracy.
• Ability to multitask.
• Flexibility.
• Ability to function independently.
• Professional and presentable.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Experience and skills

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year Sonography experience.

Qualifications

Recognised Ultrasound Degree / B-Tech Degree.
